Recipes for All Ages

A FRESH new health-eating program especially created for local Seniors. 

 

The new F.R.E.S.H. (Foods and Recipes Encouraging Senior Health) program sponsored by McLaren Health Plan, for seniors 65+, will be a cooking program oriented at combating age related diseases through healthier market foods and creative cooking.

How does it work? Three key pillars make up the program. Those interested in the program can visit the Market on Saturdays from 8am-2pm to pick up a collectable recipe card of great new ideas and techniques. Participants will then receive a McLaren Health Plan sponsored voucher to buy fresh market ingredients. And lastly, using a video instructed lesson, participants will be guided through how to create healthier meals at home.

 

Program begins Saturday, September 3rd and continues for six weeks with six different recipes.
