A Handmade Christmas

Frankenmuth is fondly known by some as "Christmas Town, USA." Here's one of the top reasons why.

For years, Frankenmuth Farmers Market has held the largest Christmas market in Saginaw County known as Frankenmuth ChristKindlMarkt. This traditional Christmas market, modeled after those held in Frankenmuth's sister region of Germany, brings a touch of magic to the city each year. It's full of artisans selling handmade gifts and goods.

You're sure to find the perfect gift for your family, friends, or even yourself, among our more than 40 vendors each year.

There is no admission to attend this family-friendly holiday bazaar – simply pay for the treasures you find and the food & drinks you enjoy! We hope you will join us in Frankenmuth this holiday season and enjoy the Frankenmuth ChristKindlMarkt.

You can enjoy the 2023 Frankenmuth ChristKindlMarkt the weekend following Thanksgiving and the three weekends after, November 24-26, December 1-3, and December 8-10.

Friday and Saturday, 11am-8pm; Sunday, 11am-4pm.

Enjoy holiday concoctions at the Christmas Town Pub

Find your way to the Gathering Barn to enjoy warm Glühwein, cold beers, and piping hot cocoa in our holiday themed pub.

As always, FFM will be serving up the flavors of the season in the best way. The smells of concessions will fill the air while you shop at ChristKindlMarkt, featuring Market Made hot soups, fresh baked breads, and freshly grilled Willi’s Sausages.

Don't forget to buy our collectible 2023 ChristKindlMarkt mug while you're there. And who knows... it might even nab you a deal on a delicious drink!

Visit with St. Nick Himself in our Christmas Village

Make your list and check it twice – Santa Claus is visiting ChristKindlMarkt each weekend!

St. Nick himself will be making an appearance at Frankenmuth ChristKindlMarkt each weekend that it is open. Visit with him and snap photos for the family holiday card, or let him know what you want for Christmas this year. The jolly ol' fella is happy to visit with all guests!

Showcase Your Wares

VERY LIMITED SPACE AVAILABLE! Grab a space to sell at our ChristKindlMarkt, a Christmas shopping village styled off the nostalgia and tradition of the many European Christmas markets you have always wished to visit.

For 3 weekends from late-November into December, the FFM courtyard will be transformed into a unique, open-air market perfect for celebrating a handmade Christmas.

Interested in being a part of the event? Fill out our application or get in touch with a member of our staff for the 2023 Frankenmuth ChristKindlMarkt.

Give Christmas Cheer by Volunteering at the Annual ChristKindlMarkt

To pull off one of the largest Christmas markets in the area, we need a lot of help. Consider helping at the event for a few hours. You'll meet a lot of happy shoppers and help the Farmers Market pull off an awesome event that helps fund our mission. Or, if you aren't able to help us on the day, consider joining our planning committee!
